Do you require preferred vendors?

Generally, we have only had great experiences with Montana vendors and there are some wonderful options available we’d be happy to give you recommendations. We also give major props to family members and friends that help with food preparation. We're Montanan, born and raised, and have been on the planning side of events trying to be as resourceful as possible to save a buck or two.

Is there onsite parking?

Yes, folks are welcome to park in our formal parking lot. We do recommend saving a few spots for guests that have a difficult time walking. Your guests are also welcome to park on the North border of the property as well as along the driveway. We can accommodate parking up to 300 guests and have some parking signs that you are welcome to use.

Where are the bathrooms?

Because we are on county property, we do not have access to the city sewer. The next best option for us is to utilize outhouses, and we make every effort to keep them clean and cozy. We've never received a complaint and think you'll find them satisfactory as well. We supply one outhouse that is handicapped-accessible, two single outhouses, and a hand-washing station for every event, and they are included in the price of the venue rental.

Should I get a tent?

A tent is your choice. If you decide to have a tent for your event, we recommend the West Lawn. We have seen many different sizes of event tents, the most common tent size is 20' by 30.' The largest tent that the West Lawn can accommodate is 40' by 60'.

How can we book a tour?

We offer tours all year long! Winter tours require some imagination as the trees are mostly bare and the property does feel more exposed.  But, we're happy to face the elements if you are.  If you are interested in a tour, you can schedule right here on the website.

Do you offer any lodging?  Where can we get ready?

Unfortunately, we do not have any on-site lodging, but there are several hotels within two miles of the venue.

Because this is Montana, and every family seems to have one, yes - you may park your camper in the parking lot and use it as a place to get ready.

Do you offer camping?

Yes, we offer camping. When you select this option, you and guests will receive access to two acres of free and open camping perfect for campers and RV’s and a sweet aspen grove that is perfect for tent campers. Also included is a bathroom facility. These sites are for dry camping. The cost for campers is a flat fee of  $400. We also include a bathroom facility.

Do you allow dogs?

To our Couples: If it's your dog and you want them to be a part of your celebration, then by all means bring them along!
To our Guests; Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate your dogs, so please leave them at home.

Do you have to clean up the night of the wedding?

It depends on your rental package. Typically, the answer is no. If you rent the venue for a Saturday night or for the weekend, you’ll have until Sunday at noon to clean up.

Can we have bonfires?

We do have a bonfire pit for you to use, however we are subject to county fire bans which happen every year, usually from August until September.

What is your noise policy?

As we are in a residential areal, all music and any other type of noise must end no later than 10:00 PM.

Who do you recommend for Special Event Insurance?

We do require Special Event Insurance for all of our events and recommend Markel Insurance or Event Helper - they both offer easy-to-purchase policies for a very reasonable price.

Your Special Event Insurance Policy will give you options in terms of how you would like alcohol to be served. These policies are very affordable (~$125 for a 150 person event) and can be purchased easily online. In fact, click here for a prefilled out enrollment with eventhelper.com.
