The Shades of Green Experience
Nestled in the heart of the Helena Valley, with a backdrop of the regal Mount Helena, Shades of Green Events offers a secluded setting in town. Golden light from the West casts across the property in the afternoon while views of the iconic Sleeping Giant glow in the warmth under Montana’s Big Sky. Though only two miles from downtown Helena, this venue offers a private and intimate setting for your celebration.
A retired nursery, the venue has mature foliage that gives an auditory and visual buffer from the city around. The old-growth cottonwood trees provide a reprieve from Summer’s heat and also stun with a display of soft yellow and gold during Autumn months. Our lawns span three acres with plenty of opportunities for your guests to find a shady nook. The cozy and vintage ambience of the cabin is a perfect place to invite your guest in for a drink.

CELEBRATIONS OF A LIFETIME
Capacity
Shades of Green Events offers two reception areas. For smaller events, we recommend our East Lawn, the Pergola, and the Cabin. Seating under the pergola is limited to 100 people or less.
For larger events, we recommend the West Lawns and the Cabin. Maximum capacity is 300 people.

A Reason to Celebrate
Our Services
We are an outdoor venue in Montana. With that in mind, we host events from mid-May to mid-October. We host events mid-week and on the weekend.
WEDDINGS
We host weddings from 30 people to 300 people. We are proud of our dedication to our couples and ensuring that their Big Day is as smooth as possible. With that in mind, we offer rates that are built to include access to all the supplies and tools you'll need to set up, take down, and everything in between.
CELEBRATIONS
Shades of Green Events is proud to host celebrations of a lifetime. In addition to weddings, we also host many baby showers, family reunions, and memorials. Have a different celebration in mind? Just ask, we've seen it all.
For Events

For Photographers
Shades of Green Events offers year-round opportunities for photography sessions. We do limit one photographer to the property at one time. If you are interested in a photography session, please contact us and reserve your time slot. Please do be sure to ask permission as the venue is private property. We appreciate your interest!
